THE COURSE

“The first time I walked onto Summit’s first hole, I felt like I was walking into paradise. It’s the best property I’ve ever seen for golf—the best natural, made-by-Mother-Nature golf course. Stanley Thompson must have seen that, too. He didn’t try to bulldoze the landscape into submission. There are ups and downs… enough beauty and variety to last a golfer a lifetime.”

At the heart of Summit

The course defines Summit. Set across naturally elevated terrain, it draws people in and keeps them coming back, offering a level of quality and care that endures.

The design moves effortlessly through the landscape, with each hole offering its own character and a round that feels varied and engaging.

Conditions are a constant focus. From tee to green, the emphasis is on consistency, playability and attention to detail. It is a layout that reveals more with time, offering something different with each round.

At Summit, the course is carefully managed and protected for the long term.

Rooted in Great Design

Summit reflects the work of Stanley Thompson, Canada’s pre-eminent golf course architect of the Golden Age. His influence is seen in the way the layout moves through the land, the placement of bunkers, and greens that reward thoughtful positioning.

Over time, the course has been refined with the involvement of architect Doug Carrick, strengthening playability while respecting the original design. As a lifelong member, his connection reflects a continuing commitment to the course.

Each update has been made to preserve the character of the layout while strengthening how it plays. Today, the course feels established and balanced, grounded in its architectural heritage and maintained to a consistently high standard.
